I bet it will flag the fault code for parking distance sensor fault; you might look online at the BimmerLink site and see if the author has a posted a listing of the fault codes - but there are a zillion so he may not list the info.
I would give it a go, pretty reasonably priced and you may find other uses in the future.
The apps author is a German guy- it's a good product- no subscription as you buy and own.
You could try having codes read by auto parts store but often they only have scanners that detect and list generic codes/ with Bimmerlink you get BMW-specific codes.
