Yesterday I had my M235i serviced and the dealer offered me an X1, X3, or a 230i convertible. I took the convertible! Very nice, but no M sport or track package. It reminded me why I went the extra cash to get the M235i rather than the 228i. Better brakes, better suspension, better wheels and tires, super smooth six cylinder with another hundred horse power, and most importantly, the M steering wheel!!! The 230i had the most painfully uncomfortable, narrow, cheep, hard plastic with sharp edges steering wheel ever!!! The one part of the car you touch, and it was almost painful. My wife?s old 2001 Toyota Corolla was leather and WAY better! My 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 (red with white ?racing stripes?) was way better. At least it was smooth plastic! My BMWs will forever be equipped with the M wheel or it will be the first mod I install. Oh, the convertible was great. Took a long lunch, picked up my wife and got a little sunburn. I?m sure the M240 convertible is awesome!
