It hits it gently but you can feel it reduce the power. I've seen a German road test where it was tested to 234km/h or 146mph but mine didn't go there.
I know initially the X3 had 'H' rated tyres which are rated to 130mph, mine is on 'V' rated (150mph) so I was interested to see where it stopped!
