the offending post was indeed offensive- insulting, demeaning, vicious and an across-the-board personal attack. otoh, i don't understand how the comments of one obvious jerk outweighed all the well-merited praise and gratitude that lotus7 received in innumerable threads to which he contributed. something in it must have struck a nerve, i suppose, sadly and to all our loss.
