Now finally I have a chance to get it done. But the only problem is I have no idea how to replace the leds on the circuit board. If you know someone good at soldering, please let me know, doesn't have to be auto-related. very appretiated!

2009 BMW 128i 6MT sport pkg SSK 40,009 miles
1977 280Z 5MT 76K miles

I am soon to inherit a friend's 280Z - he has willed it to me after catching me driving it without his permission in 1978 when I was a teenager. He cares for the car meticulously, rarely drives it. Has had it serviced at the same Datsun/Nissan dealership since it was new.

He is 80-something and on a decline so I may be getting the car sooner than I'd hoped. I hope to go drive it this coming week; maybe I'll take some pictures.

I'm wondering what to expect in comparison between the 280Z (this is one of the original ones, before the ZX series) and my 128i. I can promise you this Z is completely stock so no HP mods... if that's even done in Z world.

Any of y'all have any old Datsun Z car experience?

Didn't know what the little two orange small wires were for so I just left them alone. Started the car and it pressed both buttons on the wheel. And after I got the yellow menue I pressed up on the right button and then down on the left one to go back to the menue and exit. Tried to drive it the car went to some kind of limp mode before I get out the drive way. Then check engine light came on. And I turned it off to prevent any damage. Can you help me ? Do those two orange wires go anywhere ? Also got a little yellow 1/2 engine sign.

To my surprise besides the cats I had a "P2E84" code "Electric Water Pump Communications". About 4,000 miles ago my water pump went out when bike hit me in Florida... I got the thermostat and water pump replaced new from a ghetto ass shop lol.... So im wondering is the code still lingering around? Or did something go wrong in that install? I have no been overheating or had issues that were present when the pump was failing.

Reason for branded title: Car was purchased from an auction in Texas as a flood vehicle. From the back of the car water reached underneath the front seats. The entire car was inspected top to bottom for electrical issues. All modules were replaced that sustained damage by a professional shop. Many maintenance repairs were also completed. Basic maintenance included air filter, cabin filter, oil change, transmission fluid change, diff fluid flush, coolant flush and so on. Documentation is available for all work performed. If anyone has questions or concerns about the cars condition feel free to contact me. Serious buyers can also speak with the shop that performed the work for validation.
The car has no mechanical issues whatsoever. I drive it regularly. I can be reach by PM or Text # 864-491-six1five7.

Just wanted to say hello. I've been on another forum for a few years due to owning an e46 vert M3 but recently sold it and picked up a 09 Melbourne red with cf roof e92 M3. Miss the e46 but loving the new power but still want to get closer to the 400 hp range. I switched to this forum because it seems to be geared more towards my new ride and hope to make some new friends!!
